Activate your Kin bracelet
Two minutes. No app to download.
Tap or scan the bracelet
There's no card to find and no app to install — everything starts from the bracelet itself.
Hold the front of the bracelet — the thicker part — against the back of your phone for 1–2 seconds. On iPhone the reader sits at the top; on Android it's usually in the middle.
Open your phone's camera and point it at the QR code on the bracelet. Tap the notification that appears.
Create your account
The Kin page opens straight in your browser. Enter your email address and choose a password. There's nothing to install.
Fill in your child's profile
Name and age, your phone number and a second contact, any allergies or conditions that matter — plus anything a stranger who finds them should know.
Test it and put it on
Ask someone to tap the bracelet with their phone: the profile you just created should appear. That's it. Adjust the strap and forget about it.
Something not working?
Nothing happens when I tap the bracelet +
Check that NFC is switched on (Android: Settings → Connections → NFC). Move the phone slowly across the bracelet — the antenna sits in a different spot on every model. If it still doesn't work, use the QR code.
Does my iPhone read NFC? +
Yes. Every iPhone from the 7 onwards reads NFC automatically, no app needed. Hold the top of the phone against the bracelet with the screen on and unlocked.
Can I change the details later? +
Any time, free of charge. Log in, edit what you need, and the bracelet shows the new details instantly. No need to set it up again.
Is there a subscription? +
No. The digital profile is free for life, included in the price of the bracelet.
Does it work without internet? +
The bracelet needs no battery and no signal — it's a passive chip. The phone of whoever finds it needs internet to open the profile.
Can I add more than one child to the same account? +
Yes. Each bracelet has its own profile, but you manage them all from the same account.
